1600 Post Alley at Pine
Seattle, Washington 98101

July 14, 2011, 4pm to 10pm

Cafe Campagne will be hosting a celebration of France's Independence again this year on July 14th.

Hard fighting revolutionaries need to eat, and there'll be no shortage of food, wine and beer to keep everyone's spirits high. The tasty street fare, starting at $5, includes grilled garlic sausage sandwiches, pommes frites with aioli, beef or veggie brochettes, and baguette sandwiches made of brie, ham and gruyere, and pate. Tarte flambee, an Alsatian treat made of caramelized onions, goat cheese and, crispy-chewy bacon lardoons, will also be featured. Slices from a giant wheel of Comte cheese and French macaroons classically made by Cafe Campagne's well-known chef Daisley Gordon provide a sweet finish.

The day's entertainment features Cancan dancers and music throughout the day and into the evening from jazz bands Zazou and Bric-a-Brac, and accordionist Bonnie Birch. "The Shanghai Pearl" will be performing burlesque.

The party will take place on Post Alley between Pine and Stewart at Pike's Market, and will overflow into the village courtyard between Cafe Campagne and the Inn at the Market hotel.

Revelers are welcome to join the pre-event activities and get the latest updates at the restaurant's Facebook page.
