Canadian poet, essayist, translator and a professor of Classics and comparative literature at the University of Michigan Anne Carson presents a vibrant new translation of the Oresteia myth. Carson's translations: Aeschylus' Agamemnon; Sophocles' Electra; and Euripides' Orestes (as The Oresteia), will be the most ambitious the theatrical undertaking Classic Stage Company has brought to stage with this two-evening epic tale of power, revenge and redemption. Carson was an Anna-Maria Kellen Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin, Germany in 2007.
