Hovering in the imaginary ether between art and dance, Stockholm-based Örjan Andersson’s Ready to Explode is movement electronica, the five dancers hotwired to Andersson’s subtle choreographic power circuit. Human intimacy is filtered through an abstract vision of the body as a powerful tool at our disposal, with Andersson nimbly highlighting the fleeting nature of human relationships. Set and lighting designer Jens Sethzman is a major player in a landscape that flips from day to night, light to dark in the blink (or you’ll miss it) of an eye.
