The business meeting will include a review of ATHA’s activities last year and goals for 2006. The group will also elect its officers and group members will report on community work.

ATHA Mini Grant recipients also will be announced at the meeting. ATHA received $20,000 from the Maryland Heritage Area Authority over the past two years, said ATHA Chairman George Denny. Members of the group of 14 municipalities and several organizations were given applications for grants up to $3,000 for projects related to heritage preservation, he said.

In 2006, ATHA held a Heritage Tourism Conference in College Park and an area-wide bike ride in June. It also hosted guided tours of the area including historical sites in the Port Towns.
