Throughout her remarkable twenty-five year career, Rosanne Cash has connected with audiences both through radio hits and critically acclaimed songs of personal honesty and emotional intensity. Never has her storytelling gift been more fearless and beautiful than in the twelve songs written for the album Black Cadillac, an album she describes as “a personal history, family tree and an archaeological dig into my own life.”

Using the new album’s songs as a roadmap, Black Cadillac: The Concert invites the audience on a stirring trip through the images, sounds, words and music of Cash’s graceful exploration of her personal and musical legacy. She weaves interpretations of American masters and the Carter-Cash heritage through her own rich song catalog of #1 Country hits and the sophisticated folk/rock of her more recent Grammy®-nominated albums.

Like the finely wrought vignettes of her songs and stories, each section of the performance unfolds with distinct mood and message. Sound design, spoken word, and video projection intertwine with intimate acoustic and full band performances to give dramatic context to the stories the music tells.
