Dick Dale is a pioneer of surf rock and one of the most influential guitarists of the 1950s and 60s whose technique impacted later guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. His distinctive sound has spanned generations, from the hit “Let’s Go Trippin’” in 1961, to “Misirlou” – the widely recognized opening theme from Quentin Tarantino’s film, Pulp Fiction in 1994. Join us as Senior Curator Jacob McMurray interviews this true guitar legend. Then, enjoy a brief jam session with Dale and his son, guitar and drum prodigy Jimmy Dale.
