Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE and Dr. Toshisada Nishida will discuss the highlights of their pioneering careers. With the encouragement and mentoring of Dr. Louis Leakey, Dr. Goodall’s work began in 1960 and became the foundation for future primatological research. Dr. Nishida's research began in 1965 and established him as an authority on chimpanzee culture. Through their diligent work, these scientists have shaped the field of primatology and uncovered pivotal findings that help us better understand one of our closest living relatives, the chimpanzee.
