“An Evening with Chris Brogan” – Book Signing, Social Media Chat and Fundraiser”

Geek Girl Camp is proud to announce that well known social media personality and best selling author Chris Brogan will be in Hyannis, MA on October 27th from 5-7pm to sign copies of his New York Times best-selling book “Trust Agents” and interact with attendees on what “trust agents” are and how businesses can benefit from them, or you can even become one.

Brogan is president of New Marketing Labs, a new media marketing agency, and home of the Inbound Marketing Summit conferences and Inbound Marketing Bootcamp educational events. He works with large and mid-sized companies to improve online business communications like marketing and PR through the use of social software, community platforms, and other emerging web and mobile technologies. In his new book, co-authored with Julien Smith, Brogan says that “social networks and personal connections have far more influence on consumers than your marketing messages ever will – unless your business knows how to harness them.

In Trust Agents, we show you how to tap into the power of these networks to build your brand’s influence, reputation and profits.” Brogan explains that “trust agents aren’t necessarily marketers or salespeople; they’re digitally savvy people who use the Web to humanize businesses using transparency, honesty, and genuine relationships. As a result, they wield enough online influence to build up or bring down a business’s reputation. This book will show you how to build profitable relationships with trust agents, or become one yourself.”

The cost for this event is $50 which includes the cost of Trust Agents and entrance to the exclusive event, which can be reserved online below. Tickets will be on sales the day of the event may be purchased for $60 at the event.

The event is being held at Venture Hyannis on 500 Main Street. Directions.

The event is a fundraiser for Geek Girl Camp’s programs for women in need and transition, specifically tied to educational scholarships, computer training, providing laptops and other events and initiatives.
