At the Denver Victorian Playhouse
“The Fool’s Gold Theatre Company” hosts its Spring Fundraiser from 6 – 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 at the Denver Victorian Playhouse, 4201 Hooker St. in Denver. There is a $10.00 suggested donation at the door. Reservations are available by calling 303-981-0082 or online at [email protected].
The evening includes local Irish music by Cellar Door, Irish Step dancers, a silent auction filled with paintings, Jewelry, photography and much more provided by local artists. Delicious food will be available and The Fool’s Gold will perform excerpts from the four shows they are taking on tour.
“The Fool’s Gold Theatre Company” was created over St Patrick’s Day 2009 by company members Lou Adducci, Rita Broderick, Ann K Flynn, Laura Ione, Seth Maisel and Austin Terrell. Going on the premise that everyone is a wee bit Irish they began planning the way to bring American Theatre on tour to Ireland.
And now it is done. The company begins its tour May 2010 in Dublin, Ireland at Comedy Sports and will perform throughout the city then continue their adventure across Ireland.
While in Ireland their Children’s Theatre division, The Puddle Jumper’s, will provide interactive, educational Children’s Theatre classes and fight-choreography lessons to schools and summer programs along with the performance of a new work “Selggin and the Battle of the Mollinduffs.”
An important element of this trip is the goal of performing in every hospital providing care for a sick child. The Puddle Jumper’s plan to perform in every Children’s Hospital in each of the counties that they visit free of charge.
