With echoes of Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLauchlan in her songwriting, Anna Corcoran is emerging as a star of Liverpool’s live music scene. The singer, songwriter and pianist is creating quite a stir with her astonishing delivery, soulful folky sound and beautiful songs.

In this excellent double bill Amelia Curran returns by demand after her stunning After 8 debut in summer last year. Curran’s achingly beautiful songs sneak up on you. They aren’t showy, there are no gimmicks, yet listen after listen, her melodies gain traction and little bits of the lyrics stick in your head.
