218 Sullivan St.
New York City, New York

It seems longer than just two years ago this convivial crew of transplanted Brazilians led by DJ True and Miller Cruz started breaking ground with their "Neo-Brasilian Fusion" sound. But here they are, celebrating only their second anniversary and winning the world over with a resounding rhythm that reflects the deepest roots of both Brazil and NYC. So much that François K. has asked them to produce a series on his Wave Music label due out this coming summer.

Very few people can answer the call to such a momentous occasion, as did Louie Vega the previous year for their First (as he utterly destroyed it). So who better to call than the man responsible for writing more than 80% of the music for Los Amigos Invisibles. He?s played guitars, keyboards and provided background vocals for Los Amigos Invisibles' four full albums and also for Louie Vega's "Elements of Life" and Dimitri from Paris' "Cruising Attitude". Also respected as a Remix-producer aside from his work with Los Amigos, he just released his first solo track "Mala Idea" and has published remixes for Beastie Boys, Fantastic Plastic Machine, David Byrne, Radio Zumbido, Fundación Tony Manero, Sonorama, Soul Coughing, John Scofield and many others.

DJ AFRO will be the esteemed guest for the evening with a host of musicians aiding in a non-stop ALMA soundtrack at its best. This will be one of those "come early, stay late" nights indeed. Joann Jimenez and Manchildblack will of course be on hand to make sure you never feel like you?ve overstayed your welcome so make sure to RSVP early.
