As part of our Networking Neighbourhoods, Connecting Communities program, we are pleased to welcome Jay Walljasper to Calgary to share with us what he's learned about making the most of urban living through civic participation.

Jay Walljasper is a Senior Fellow at Project for Public Spaces and a fellow at On The Commons. A popular speaker and award-winning writer and editor, Jay covers a wide variety of topics, with particular specialties in community and urban issues, travel, sustainability, cultural commentary, and the commons. Walljasper is the author of All That We Share A Field Guide to the Commons (2011), The Great Neighborhood Book (2007), and Visionaries: People and Ideas to Change Your Life (2001).

Come for Jay's presentation and stay for the participatory workshop to follow! It will be a great opportunity to sink your teeth into some of the ideas presented and to learn from the experiences of others in the room.
