Alchemists of Tradition Exhibition September 10, 2008

It is tradition that senior artists should encourage a new art gallery in town. So, you have all the senior artists of Chennai, men who have been part of the Madras Art Movement in the 60s and 70s at this show. They are artists, who have infused a new dimension to tradition and changed the face of modern Indian art. Tradition does not colour their canvas completely but is made relevant to the present.
