Alabama Shakes

January 11
The Republik
Honolulu, HI

BAMP Project presents soulful rockers Alabama Shakes Hawaii debut performance live at The Republik on January 11, 2013. Tickets are on sale now at ticket locations listed below.

Alabama Shakes broke out in 2012 behind the strength of a run of unforgettable live performances and the release of their debut full length album Boys & Girls. Smash hit "Hold On" was named the top song of 2012 by Rolling Stone magazine, beating off popular tracks by Ocean, White, Springsteen, Dylan and Kanye West in the top 10.

The Indie music stars and Athens natives have been nominated for Grammy Awards for best new artist and best rock performance for “Hold On." The Grammy considerations are just the cherry on top of a meteoric rise to worldwide acclaim since the band released some early tracks in 2011. Since then, there have been television appearances galore and a world-over tour. Band members are Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, Zac Cockrell, Steve Johnson and Ben Tanner. The Alabama Shakes are also nominated for a technical award. The Grammys will be presented at 7 p.m., Feb. 10, on CBS.
