Be one of the lucky fans who will be privileged to witness the Bay area feature debut performance of a truly gifted artist on the very cusp of mainstream success, as singer/songwriter Al-Kief brings his gritty, blues-drenched brand of rock to the Bazaar Cafe at 5927 California St. in San Francisco's Richmond District to present a full program of his inspired original material, which he has specially reworked to perform in the intimate, acoustic setting of the Bazaar. Beginning at 6 o'clock p.m., Al-Kief will regale his audience with one soon-to-be smash-hit after another, blending his unique guitarmanship and prodigious piano skills with fierce vocals that would do Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf proud. Throw in his astonishing song-writing abilities, and you will be more than convinced that this young man is the real deal. Each song his own vision, you will hear the echoes and inspiration of his musical influences: the aforementioned Muddy and the Wolf, Son House, Big Mama Thornton, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Kurt Cobain. This is an artist with something to say, not a reality-show reject or manufactured wannabe.
