Green Salon: Green Graphics -- Yes We Can!
Guest Speaker: Cindy Hanna, Denver

At Hanna Design, living green is a work in progress. The firm is proactively engaging in a dialogue about the environmental impact of design. They were early adopters of The Designers Accord, a global coalition of designers, educators, researchers, engineers, and corporate leaders working together to create positive environmental and social impact.

In 2007, Hanna Design acquired the URL greengraphics.com and publicly began a journey toward an environmentally responsible design practice. "Green Graphics" is Hanna Design's way of describing this initiative. "It has always been worrisome to realize that our creativity often results in consumer waste and the loss of trees in our forests," explains Cindy, "Thanks to years of hard work by environmentalists, sustainability has finally become a mainstream concept and living 'green' has become a virtue."

Join us at our next Green Salon for a presentation from local firm Hanna Design. Cindy Hanna will be sharing Hanna Design's journey toward Green Graphics, highlighting specific projects such as...

+ The logo for Greening the 2008 Democratic National Convention, helping produce the most environmentally sustainable political convention in modern American history.
+ Denver Hike and Bike: a booklet promoting walking and biking tours that was distributed at the Convention.

... and other initiatives which improve our work environment, lighten our footprint, and demonstrate use of sustainable practice techniques, processes and materials.
