Agility In The Park October 10, 2009

Me And My Dogs is sponsoring Agility in the Park. Come and run whether you are an experienced handler or you and your dogs are new to the sport. The one day pass gets you unlimited runs from 10:00 to 4:00. There will be two courses per day, standard in the morning, jumpers in the afternoon, changing around 1:00. The equipment will be a mix of AKC and USDAA standard, with AKC jumps to 24 inches. To participate, all dogs must have some prior agility training, and display control on and off leash. Bring your tents and your crates and spend the day. The all day pass is just $20.00 for the first dog and $5.00 for each additional dog.

Between runs enjoy other events in the park. The UDSSN Disc Dog World Finals will be on the main field. This event is presented by PetCentric.com and Purina. Disc Doggers from around the globe will be there competing for the title of World Champion. In addition, on Saturday, The Border Collie Club of Greater Atlanta is hosting a Herding Fun Match; AKC Course A and Course B with ducks.

Purina will be giving away lots of free stuff and several pet vendors will be there as well. We have something for all dog lovers. Come and participate or just watch the show. Admission is free. This event is an annual fundraiser for the Etowah Valley Humane Society and they will be collecting donations at the gate and have pet adoptions onsite.
