Thursday, March 1 Singin In The Rain. (1952) Its 1927, and the movie industry is switching from silent films to talkies. This is bad news for film star Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly), whose onscreen partner Lina Lamonts (Jean Hagen) high-pitched, nasal screech of a voice is not what anyone could call sound friendly. This classic musical, directed by Stanley Donen and costarring Debbie Reynolds and Donald OConnor, is delightful from beginning to end.
