Night two of Afro-Punk at BAMcafé features another triple header that isn't afraid to get loud and funky. Bringing New Orleans heat to New York City cool, Mighty Fine riles things up with their "sweaty, garage soul," while Swivel's indie rock channels Radiohead at its electro-poppiest and gives R&B harmonies the attention they deserve. Meanwhile, neo-soul chanteuse Tiombe Lockhart's flamboyant live performances are all about giving the audience a good time with songs that cruise from ironic to whimsical to poetic.
