BOCA DO RIO:

Boca Do Rio music is a dynamic mix of forró, rock, jazz, funk, rap, reggae, and funk, undergirded by the syncopated beat of samba. While it has been argued that Brazilian music in general is marked by a fusion of influences only fitting for a country with such diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and races, Boco's music offers a new take on Brazils 's worldly music. Their music no t only feels like a warm ocean breeze, but also a frenetic carnival vibe of Rio's sambas.

FUGA:

Members of Fuga! were born and raised in El Paso. The band relocated to the Oakland Bay Area in 2005 where they continue to work with immigrant communities and social causes. Their 2003 record, "Desde la Frontera," became a hit in El Paso, Juárez and cities across the southwest. Fuga! is also working with renowned Grammy-nominated Latin music producer Greg Landau, whose credits include Maldita Vecindad, Patato Valdes, Buena Vista Social Club's Juan de Marcos Gonzalez, Susan Baca, Bobi Cespedes, Dr. Loco, Pete Seeger, Omar Sosa, John Santos, Pancho Quinto, Los Mocosos and David Byrne's record label Luaka Bop.
