After a spectacular kickoff party on January 18, Funkonnection returns to San Francisco on February16 with a massive lineup featuring the Godfather of Hip Hop Culture, Afrika Bambaataa, DC nufunk hero Allgood Funk Alliance and Calgary future-disco maven Neighbor. Local heroes include Ren the Vinyl Archaeologist (True Skool), Chauncey B (Dalva) and residents Motion Potion, Tal M Klein and Malarkey. With Bambaataa making his first-ever appearance at Mighty at this already buzzed-about party, tickets are sure to go fast.

ABOUT AFRIKA BAMBAATAA:
Arika Bambaataa, whose name literally translates to 'affectionate leader' is one of the three main originators of break-beat deejaying, and is respectfully known as the 'Godfather' of Hip Hop culture as well as the Father of the Electro Funk Sound.
