ADAM SANK’S GAY BASH FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY AT COMIX

NEW YORK, NY – Adam Sank is thrilled to bring his popular monthly showcase of gay and gay-friendly funsters to Comix, Manhattan's newest and most fabulous comedy club! Headlining the revamped Bash on Feb. 21 will be Jim David -- legendary comedian and gay pioneer -- who has starred in his own "Comedy Central Presents" special and MTV's "Half-Hour Comedy Hour," as well as countless A-List comedy clubs and festivals.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
Adam Sank gave up a highly successful career as a TV news producer - first for Fox News Channel and then for WABC-TV - to become a standup comic and actor. Since doing so, he's delighted crowds throughout the New York City

Adam holds his own appearing alongside such legendary performers as Roseanne Barr, Judy Gold, Kevin Meaney and Jim Gaffigan. He recently began appearing on Vh-1's "Best Week Ever," and he opened for Hal Sparks during six sold-out shows at Carolines in June, 2005. Adam is an accomplished writer whose articles have appeared in The New York Times, The San Francisco Sentinel, on People Magazine's Website, and more. He is also the co-author of Esquire magazine's "Things a Man Should Never Do Past 30".
Jim David’s outrageous and biting comedy was seen on his 1/2 hour special “Comedy Central Presents: Jim David” and the variety special “Out on the Edge” on both Comedy Central and Logo. He has been a frequent guest on Comedy Central's “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn”, and as a guest 'comedy consultant" on Bravo's “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”.

He contributed to US Magazine's "Fashion Police" and writes a weekly humor column in The Advocate. A headliner across the country, he is winner of the MAC Award and the Backstage Magazine BISTRO Award for Outstanding NY Comedian. He has appeared on and off Broadway, in films and commercials, and at the Aspen HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, Chicago Comedy Festival, and Manchester England Comedy Festival. York's Town Hall and at venues around the country.
Karith Foster was raised in Plano, Texas (the affluent suburb north of Dallas with the ethnic diversity of a Klan rally). Karith indulged her performing bug by starring in her high school’s ALL WHITE production of “A Raisin in the Sun.” She currently resides in New York City where everyday she learns something new like… just because she blends into her Harlem neighborhood it is not cool to walk into a bodega (a little Spanish grocery store) and say “Que pasa y’all?!!” Karith performs weekly at a variety of NYC comedy clubs including The Boston Comedy Club, The Comic Strip, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, and Stand-up New York Comedy Club…just check her schedule to see when and where she’s going up or to see if she’ll be in a town near you. www.karith.com
