Invitation to the Center

The Polish-American Cultural Center at Slavic Village invites you to a meeting with Peggy Grant who will discuss the life and work of her late husband Adam Grochowski Grant, a survivor of both Auschwitz and Mauthausen, born in Warsaw in 1924 and died in Toledo in 1992. Adam Grant was a well-known and respected artist. His paintings have been exhibited all over the world, in faraway Krakow and in nearby Youngstown, at the Butler Institute of Art. Articles about him and his work have appeared in the Toledo Blade and in American Artist. His name will forever be linked to American culture; Grant shared his passion for art with others by helping them experience the joy of creation through the design of paint by numbers masterpieces. His involvment in the paint by numbers craze of the mid-twentieth century insured that many Americans would be inspired by his creations and attracted to the power of art. Peggy is an Officer on numerous boards throughout the Toledo area where she is an art consultant and curator.
Please come to the Polish-American Cultural Center (6501 Lansing Avenue) on Friday, January 5th, at 8:00 PM for an interesting talk and lively discussion. Refreshments will be served. The event is free.
