achtung berlin ? new berlin film award May 10, 2006

achtung berlin ? new berlin film award will hold its second edition form May 11th until 17th 2006. It will take place in the Hackesche Hoefe Filmtheater.
The combination of being a film festival as well as an event for the film industry, therefore linking the capitol?s region?s classical media industries with new entertainment media, made achtung berlin a brand of its own, just after one year of existence.

Competitions

The film festival?s centre points are, on the one hand the programme Made in Berlin - Brandenburg including new films made in Berlin and Brandenburg and on the other hand the international programme Towards Berlin, showing films about Berlin and Brandenburg.

Retroperspective, TransCities

Furthermore achtung berlin ? new berlin film award presents a Retroperspective showing DEFA films about East- Berlin, and the new programme series ?TransCities? which will be opened with the city axes Berlin ? Budapest.

Children?s ? Youth?s Programme

In additon, there will be a programme with films for children and youngsters as well as numerous special programmes.

During the media show case berlin ? brandenburg young upcoming talents from Berlin and Brandenburg?s film and games industry present new audiovisual formats and contents at the interfaces of films and games.
