AC/DC Hard Rock Accordion Workshop with Duckmandu January 16, 2010

In this class we will learn a group accordion version of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell." All levels welcome. Accordions can be provided for the accordionless.

Come join accordionist Aaron Seeman (also known as Duckmandu) and your fellow adventurers as we use the accordion to channel Malcolm Young, Bon Scott, and the boys. At the end of this class we will learn and play "Highway to Hell" in an arrangement with parts for players at all skill levels, from rank beginners to expert players. (At one accordion class we had about 15 accordions all playing "Anarchy in the UK at once!) Absolute beginners to more advanced students are welcome. Come at 4:00 if you have never touched an accordion or if you need to review the bare bones basics of accordion playing!

Come at 5:00-7:00 to learn our individual parts and then play and record a multi accordion version of "Highway to Hell!!"

Beginning Accordion
Come at 4:00 if you a beginner, even if you've never touched an accordion. We will be covering the basics of the buttonboard (bass or left side), and learn a simple chord progression. We will also learn some basics on the keyboard side.

5:00 After a quick listen to the full song, we'll break into groups to learn the parts.

6:00 The class will rehearse and perform a "Highway to Hell" together!
