Filled with clownfish, cocktails and conversation, the Academy opens its doors to the happy hour crowd on the third Thursday of every month. Visit our aquarium, exhibits and a newly installed art exhibit while listening to DJ Inexplicable and enjoying a cash bar featuring Francis Ford Coppola wine.

From the Depths: Inspiring Science and Art, a debuting art exhibit will unveil large-scale paintings and sketches by local artist Tiffany Bozic. This exhibit will transport visitors into the depths of both the ocean and the imagination, by presenting an artist’s vision of the life-and-death drama that unfolds beneath the sea. This exhibit is the result of a year-long collaboration between Bozic and Dr. Rich Mooi, curator of Invertebrate Zoology & Geology at the Academy. Along with Bozic’s paintings, this exhibit includes photographs, preserved specimens from the Invertebrate Zoology collection, and artfully designed tanks with live fish & invertebrates.
