Over the past 30 years, New Zealand has earned a reputation for producing some of the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world and to this day it is tough to argue. New Zealand, however, is about more than Sauvignon Blanc. Through extensive wine research and development, New Zealand has successfully fostered a diverse wine industry. Truly a tale of two islands, a rich array of grape varieties are being produced with great results. New Zealand is also at the forefront of using the screwtop cap to bottle it's fine wines. This night we celebrate the diversity of New Zealand wines.

This tasting has been made possible by the generous support of the New Zealand Consulate in Vancouver, and we are proud to have the Consul General Anne Chappaz as our guest of honour.

We have two speakers tonight. One is our President, Karl Kliparchuk, and the other is a special is a special guest with a Kiwi connection. Karl has been sharpening his knowledge of wines over the past year attending many Trade only events, and passing with Distinction, the WSET Level 2 Intermediate certificate in Wine and Spirits.
