A Rare Book Evening March 18, 2008

Antiquarian book collector Arthur L. Schwarz shares his knowledge and enthusiasm about the fascinating world of rare books. How important are age, text, edition, typography, illustrations, binding, condition, provenance and scarcity? Participants have the opportunity to examine books and documents, ranging from the earliest years of printing to the 20th century, and literally hold history in their hands. Enrollment is limited to allow access to fragile and valuable material.
