Lighthouse is delighted to be teaming up with Brighton's internationally renowned digital artists Blast Theory to stage the English premiere of their 'locative cinema project' for pedestrians and their mobile phones. A Machine to See With was a major hit at this year's Sundance Film Festival and we're delighted to be bringing it Brighton Digital Festival.

Become the star of your own heist movie as Blast Theory put you in the heat of the action. Sign up online, give your mobile phone number and await your tipoff. At your allotted location your phone rings. From there on in it's all about you as you take the lead in an unfolding drama across the city.

Perfectly resonating with Lighthouse's 2011-12 theme, Beyond Cinema, this work is all about cinema. The artists thought about the city as a cinematic space and considered how screens might be inserted into the streets or carried through them. Their approach was to think of our eyes as the screens themselves

Organised by Blast Theory and Lighthouse. With support from Brighton Dome.
