The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute welcomes philosopher and historian Daniel Boyarin to campus for a lecture entitled, “A Love Surpassing Women: The Homme-eroticism of Torah Study.” Boyarin will explain the tension between male-male friendship and female-male relationships among Jews. This division began in ancient Greece and persisted for several centuries. The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 in the Rapaporte Treasure Hall, Goldfarb Library, located at Brandeis University, 415 South St. Waltham, Mass.
