An underpaid worker hires himself in disguise as his own assistant to increase his income. His sweetheart falls for his phony self and he becomes his own rival. His predicament becomes even more out of control when a company investigator shows up trying to figure out how the worker can afford all his Christmas spending on his sparse salary.
