A Fundraiser for the 1st Responders Support Network-Food and Comedy May 31, 2009

Join us for an afternoon of food and fun to benefit the First Responders Support Network. Sunday, May 31 at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company at 390 Capistrano Road, Half Moon Bay (Princeton-by-the-Sea). Comedy show by Blue Blanket Improv. Doors open at 1:00 pm with food buffet served from 1:45-3:00 pm. Comedy seating begins at 3:00 pm with show from 3:30-5:30 pm. $60 for both food and comedy, $40 for comedy only. All proceeds benefit the First Responder Support Network (FRSN) whose mission is to provide treatment programs that promote recovery from stress and critical incidents for first responders and their families. The FRSN is a collaboration among emergency service peers (police, fire, corrections, dispatchers and emergency medical services), mental health clinicians, and chaplains who volunteer their time. FRSN sponsors the West Coast Post-Trauma Retreat (WCPR)program for first responders whose lives have been impacted by their work experience. The WCPR residential program provides an educational experience designed to help current and retired first responders recognize the signs and symptoms of work-related stress including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in themselves and in others.
