A Call To Action: October 27, 2005

Please join us on Thursday, October 27 at 6:00 pm for the opening reception of ?ACTION: Art Center and the United Nations.?

This exhibition highlights design collaborations between several United Nations agencies and designmatters @ Art Center, the College?s initiative focusing on social and humanitarian applications of design and responsible business practices.

ACTION, on display through December 19, is intended not only to promote the creative work of our students but to serve as inspiration to the community and reveal the role of design education in embracing a broad social agenda for engagement and intervention in response to society?s global challenges.

In collaboration with the opening reception of ACTION, the Toyota Lecture Series welcomes Mackay Wolff to Art Center. Currently, Mr. Wolff is a speechwriter and programme designer for UNICEF, raising support for its programs and increasing public awareness of the challenges facing the world?s children. This special presentation of the Toyota Lecture Series begins at 7:30 pm.
