A Band Beyond Description is a Maine Grateful Dead cover band. It is a Grateful Dead "cover" band as opposed to a "tribute" band, which means they don't neccessarily completely emulate the Dead, but play Grateful Dead tunes with their own personal styles. In keeping with tradition with the Grateful Dead, they also cover some other great artists such as The Band, Allman Brothers and Phish.
