St. Ursen, Fribourg

Bagpipe tunes, flying tree trunks and a laid back atmosphere have become a tradition in St. Ursen in the canton of Fribourg.
On the last weekend in August the strongest men and women and the best musicians assemble for a friendly competition on the occasion of the Swiss Championships at the "wùy-ù-ay" Highland Games.

The happy atmosphere spurs participants on to put in maximum performances, be it with the tree trunk or the bagpipe, with the stone or the drum.

There is not only high level music and sport entertainment at "wùy-ù-ay" Highland Games, but also a cheerful and exuberant party catering for all ages.

Stroll along the various food stalls on the festival site, get your hands on souvenirs from the Scotland shop or have a good time at the bouncy Scottish castle or at the pets corner with your children!

We are looking forward to meeting you. Sign up on www.HighlandGames.ch or visit us in St. Ursen.
