8th Annual - Clairdee's Christmas December 24, 2010

Renowned song stylist Clairdee returns to Yoshi's-San Francisco for her joyous holiday tradition, with a single performance on Christmas Eve. Noted for her genre-bending blend of jazz, pop and rhythm and blues set to spellbinding arrangements, Clairdee comes home to celebrate the holidays with Bay Area fans. As in her previous sold-out holiday shows, Clairdee enlivens vintage classics and contemporary favorites with her luxurious voice.

NPR music critic Tom Manoff praises Clairdee as, "the real thing... a beautiful voice and a splendid artist." The consummate entertainer's recent performances include Dizzy's (Jazz at Lincoln Center), the Monterey Jazz Festival, and the Oregon Festival of American Music. Clairdee has appeared with and opened for such artists as Boz Scaggs, David Sanborn, Gladys Knight, Bucky Pizzerelli and Cyrus Chestnut.

Joining Clairdee for the 8:00 PM performance is her exceptional Bay Area band: Ken French on piano, bassist Ron Belcher, guitarist John Hoy and Jim Zimmerman on drums. Special guest emcee is radio personality and humorist, Gil Gross.
