7th Annual DC Flamenco Festival: Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras February 15, 2007

Renowned for her rapid fire footwork and commanding yet elegant presence, Sara Baras is Spain’s most popular dancer and a flamenco icon. Baras is the recipient of Spain’s prestigious National Dance Award and broke box office records during a recent five-month run in Madrid.

Her 20-member company with guest dancers José Serrano and Luis Ortega will present the DC premiere of Sabores (Flavors), a new work that celebrates the many styles of flamenco.
