The San Diego Women’s Film Festival is Southern California’s most notable and longest running women's film festival. Each year the Festival showcases approximately 100 films from around the world, offering a diverse selection of features, shorts and documentaries that compete for both Judge and Audience awards.
The independent films highlight positive messages about relevant social issues, including ethnicity, class, culture, race and gender. The Festival has also hosted advanced screenings of films that have gone on to win Academy Awards®.

Cox Communications presents this year’s San Diego Women’s Film Festival on Friday, October 5 from 7 to 11p.m., Saturday, October 6 from 12 to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 7 from 12 to 9:30 p.m. at the Museum of Photographic Arts located at 1649 El Prado and Rueben H. Fleet Science Center located at 1875 El Prado, both in Balboa Park.
