5 Jokers of Comedy Tour October 30, 2010

Phase One Entertainment and the Greensboro Coliseum Complex have announced that “The 5 Jokers of Comedy Tour” starring Arnez J., Earthquake, DeRay Davis, Leslie Jones and Kevin Damn Fool Simpson will come to War Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, October 30th at 8:30 pm.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, August 13th at 10:00 am at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or at the Greensboro Coliseum box office.

Arnez J. has quickly emerged as one of the hottest, most talked about comedic artists in the game. His raw energy, talent and comedic skill quickly landed Arnez the coveted hosting slot on BET’s longest-running comedy series “ComicView” for two seasons, joining the ranks of hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer. Numerous television appearances soon followed including appearances on “The Mo’nique Show,” Russell Simmons' "Def Comedy Jam," headlining Showtime’s recent "Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam," his own BET "ComicView Grandstand Hour Special,” “Comedy Central Presents: Arnez J” and many others.

Washington D.C.'s own Earthquake (born Nathaniel Stroman) has carved quite a unique audience for himself. Earthquake's mounting credits include an unforgettable appearance on 2003's Walter Latham Presents and a 2007 all-star appearance on HBO's “Def Comedy Jam”. Earthquake's appearance on the wildly received “Shaquille O'Neal's Comedy All-Star Comedy Jam” currently rivals his concert DVD release “From the Outhouse to the White House” as his best performances to date. Recently, Quake teamed up with NASCAR icon Tony Stewart and Armor All for a television project currently available online.

DeRay Davis has appeared in New Line’s feature, “Semi-Pro”, opposite Will Ferrell, Andre Benjamin, Woody Harrelson, and Rob Corddry. DeRay's film credits also include “the hustle guy” in “Barbershop” and “Barbershop 2,” the Will Smith-produced “The Seat Filler” and Fox's “Johnson Family Vacation.”. On the small screen, Davis has appeared on HBO's "Entourage," Comedy Central's "Reno 911," ABC's "My Wife and Kids," Fox's "Cedric Presents...,” VH1's "Love Lounge," NBC's "Late Friday,” VH-1's "Play'd,” Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and BET’s "ComicView".

Comedienne Leslie Jones (aka Big Les), is known for her wild and crazy stand-up routine and she recently hit the road with Katt Williams for a highly successful 100-city tour. Jones also recently filmed her own one-hour comedy special, “Problem Child” which premiered on Showtime in February 2010. She recently wrapped shooting one of the lead roles in the upcoming feature “The Lottery Ticket” opposite Ice Cube and Bow Wow, which is set to be in theatres later this month.
