The Fourth Annual “Wines for the Holidays” wine tasting takes place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 19 at a new location - the Standley Lake Library, 8485 Kipling Street in Arvada. Colorado’s fine wines will again be featured with proceeds going to the Arvada Community Food Bank. Tickets are $25 and must be reserved in advance by calling the Arvada Festivals Commission at 720-898-7400.
Colorado wines win many local and international awards.
A wide variety of wines will be presented by Balistreri Winery, Spero Winery, Creekside Cellars, Turquoise Mesa Winery, Bonaquisti Wine Company and Verso Cellars. Learn about rich Merlots and vibrant Cabernets, refreshing Rieslings, floral Viogniers and expressive Chardonnays. A sampling of appetizers and desserts, generously donated by local restaurants and volunteers, will compliment the wines and be accompanied by live musical entertainment.
Continue your holiday shopping at the silent auction. Generous community businesses and individuals have donated an abundant array of silent auction items that includes dining and entertainment certificates, spa packages, theater tickets, baskets, jewelry, art and other affordable items.

The mission of the Arvada Community Food Bank is to secure and provide the resources (food, financial and volunteers) necessary to provide critically needed food programs to help meet the hunger and nutritional needs of low to very low-income community members.
