47th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) June 2, 2011

The 47th annual meeting of ASCO serves as one of the premiere oncology conferences in the country and will feature discussions of posters, abstracts, ongoing clinical trials and original research in the field. The conference will also include Continuing Medical Education sessions and various plenary sessions.

Katie Streicher will speak on the topic of "Functional characterization of an oncogenic role for the miRNA-506-514 cluster in initiating melanocyte transformation and promoting melanoma growth."

Robert Georgantas will speak on the topic of "MicroRNA Oncogenes And Tumor-Suppressors Controlling Apoptosis, Growth, Migration, and Invasion in Malignant Tumors."
