Colorful tribal dance contests, arts & crafts, cultural heritage demonstrations, tipis and Indian food will be part of the 43rd Annual National Championship Indian Pow Wow on Friday night through Sunday, September 9, 10 & 11, 2005 at Traders Village in Grand Prairie.

The Pow Wow teepee exhibits will provide visitors with a close-up look at life with this age-old form of portable shelter. Everyone will want to try the American Indian food, including authentic, fry bread, Navajo tacos, corn soup, etc.

The dance contest will take place on Friday from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - Noon, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The arts and crafts show and Indian food booths will be open Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There is no admission charge to Traders Village, open every Saturday and Sunday, year round. Parking is only $2.00 per vehicle.
