Fun for the whole family, live music with Andre's All Stars, open air dancing, and freshly grilled chicken are the highlights of the annual Muir Beach Volunteer Firemen’s Barbecue on Sunday, May 26, from noon to 5 pm at the Muir Beach picnic grounds on Muir Woods Road.

The Firemen’s Barbecue is an annual Memorial Day Weekend tradition, a festive gathering and fundraiser for the Muir Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Local musicians will rock the stage while Muir Beach’s firefighters tend to smoky grills and enticing raffle prizes are offered. For the kids, a special play area with climbing walls and bounce houses and so much more will be available throughout the day.

Barbecue lunches, beer and wine are available for purchase, as are clothing and other items featuring the fire department’s iconic dog logo.

Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. For a minimum donation of $20 per car, festivalgoers get a parking spot and $10 in coupons for meals, drinks or clothing. The event ends with a raffle of more than 100 prizes that include overnight accommodations, restaurant gift certificates and airline tickets.
