Thanks to LG, our lead sponsor, the whole festival is free and open to the public, except the Opening Gala at the Egyptian Theater which is by invitation only, however we are selling 50 tickets at $50.00 each for the public. The free screenings are at the Mann Chinese 6 Theaters, open panels and filmmakers‟ lounge are at the Roosevelt Hotel.
Every film is a Los Angeles premiere.
We are proud to open with RISCADO and RECIFE FRIO. Both have won important awards, though they are virtually unknown in North America. Both directors are incredibly talented; they're here to stay. Their sure hands show total control of storytelling. Comedy, drama, film within a film, real or not? Take your pick.
