Things will be heating up at the “Sizzlin’ Hot” 38th Annual California State Chili Championship and 7th Annual Inland Empire Menudo Championship on Saturday May 7th 2011 at The National Orange Show Fair Grounds in San Bernardino. More than 100 cooks in four main divisions will be competing for cash and prizes. Large Raffle, there will be a Chili Eating Contest, an all age Karaoke Contest by “Y-Karaoke Kompany”, Live music by the “Good times Band” and Western Stuntman shows by the “Santa Fe Drifters”. Other Contests include Ms. Chili Pepper, Mr. Hot Sauce and the World Famous Shoot and Holler. There will food and craft vendors. There will be Chili Tasting, Menudo Tasting,starting at 11am, until supplies are gone. Games and rides for the kids. The event is sponsored by El Pato Brand Sauces, Wal-Mart, O’Leary’s Irish Pub in Rialto, Dolores Chili and The Friends of San Bernardino City Parks. The event proceeds go the Friends of San Bernardino Parks Inc.
Admission is free. The event runs from 10am to 6:30 pm.
