The 32nd International Saxophone Symposium will be held January 23rd and 24th, 2009 at George Mason University Center for the Arts in Fairfax, Virginia. All concerts, clinics, recitals and master classes are FREE, open to the public, and no tickets are required.

Captain George N. Thompson and the U.S. Navy Band will feature several artists at the Symposium. Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Professor of Saxophone at the Academy of Cergy-Pontoise (France), and the New Century Saxophone Quartet will perform with the Concert Band on Friday at 8 p.m. Also featured on Friday are the Navy Band’s own Senior Chief Musician Timothy E. Roberts and Chief Musician Michael P. Bayes. International recording artist Antonio Hart will appear with the U.S. Navy Band Commodores jazz ensemble on Saturday at 8 p.m.

In addition to all of the performances and educational offerings, the Symposium presents vendors for instrument companies, sheet music and accessories.
