31st Annual Hockey Achievement Award Dinner June 22, 2009

The annual Hockey Achievement Award Dinner is one of the Canadian Association of New York`s (CANY) primary fundraising events with the net proceeds going to charities supported by the Canadian Association of New York Foundation. This year, instead of honoring an individual player - past receipients of the award include Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Jean Beliveau, Mark Messier, Guy Lafleur, Mike Bossy, Mario Lemieux, among many other fabled greats - CANY is honoring an entire franchise: the Montreal Canadiens. One of the most storied teams in professional sports, the Canadiens, who turn 100 this year, have won 24 Stanley Cups and contributed 58 individuals to Toronto`s Hockey Hall of Fame.
