311's fusion of reggae and rap-metal was created in Omaha in 1990. Taking their name from the Omaha Police Department's code for indecent exposure, 311 took off to L.A. and have been cranking out albums ever since. The 1995 album 311 (aka The Blue Album) reached #12 on the Billboard album chart, sold three million copies and sported the hit tracks "All Mixed Up" and "Down." In 1997, their double album Transistor was released and achieved platinum status. Several years later in 2004, the band celebrated its decade- plus existence with a Greatest Hits compilation which included a cover of The Cure's "Love Song." In August 2005, the band followed up with the album Don't Tread on Me, a round of touring and then a hiatus - their first break in ten years. Their first studio album in nearly four years, Uplifter, was released earlier this year.

Kottonmouth Kings is a psychedelic hip-hop punk rock band that emerged from Orange County, California in 1994. They first attracted attention with the single "Suburban Life," which appeared on the Scream 2 soundtrack. Their most recent effort was Cloud Nine, which was released in 2007.
