30th Annual Santa Barbara Cat Show Returns October 9 &10
Current Cat Fanciers Association “Best Kitten” to Show and Compete

More than 250 championship and premier cats and kittens from around the nation will compete in the 2010 Santa Barbara Cat Show on Saturday, October 9, 2010 and Sunday, October 10, 2010 sponsored by the Paul Raine’s California Solid Color Cat Club. The cat show will be held at The Earl Warren Showgrounds, 3400 Calle Real, Santa Barbara, California. Show hours are Saturday 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.

Fancy felines from around the country will have the opportunity to earn Top Cat status each day with 8 Judging Rings. The lists of competitors include American Shorthair, Devon Rex, Burmese and Sphinx as well as the more well-known breeds including Siamese, Persian and Maine Coon. There is also a judging category for Household Pets.

The Cat Fanciers Association 30th annual Santa Barbara cat show is open to the public and will provide an entertaining day for all who attend.

Show Manager, Bruce Isenberg adds, “This is a special anniversary for our event and we are going all out to have a spectacular show that the entire community can enjoy.”

In addition to the judging taking place throughout the two-day show, spectators will have the opportunity to see cats up close and personal and experts can answer questions about their cats. Other activities include face painting for the kids, a used book sale, a raffle and vendors with “everything cat” will be there with cat teasers, art, T-shirts, knickknacks, cat toys and furniture. Sponsors Royal Canin and Precious Cat Cat Litter be on-site with cat care tips for pet owners.

For those looking to add a pet to their family, The CAPA Animal Shelter from the City of Lompoc in Santa Barbara County will be at the show with cats for adoption. Judging Ring Sponsorships are still available and a great opportunity to showcase pet services and businesses in the community.

Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, students and kids over 6 years old. Children 5 years old and under are Free. Coupons are available at http://www.cfasouthwest.org or local retail outlets for $1 off admission.
