Massage Envy enthusiastically announces the Seattle-area return of its one-day “Massage for the Cure” event. On Monday, October 6, 2008, Puget Sound area residents can get a free massage and help fight breast cancer. Last year’s inaugural event in Washington state raised an outstanding $40,000 for the Puget Sound affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

(877) 777-ENVY. The “Massage for the Cure” event will be held on Monday, October 6th from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Free one-hour therapeutic massages will be given to registered guests for a suggested donation of $50 to the Puget Sound affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Massage therapists will be working throughout the day to serve customers at the event.

Participating locations include Bellevue; Bonney Lake; Capital Hill; Everett Mall; Federal Way; Gig Harbor; Kirkland; Mill Creek; Newcastle; Northgate Mall; Olympia; Puyallup; Redmond; Shoreline; Tacoma Mall; and Woodinville. Additional details can be found online at www.massageenvy.com.

All proceeds raised during the “Massage for the Cure” event will support breast cancer research initiatives through Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Komen Puget Sound affiliate provides breast cancer screenings and treatments for underserved women in western Washington in addition to supporting national initiatives to research a cure.
